About Me

This is me, The Rat...partner since 2001 to Concrete_Man, mum to Rat_Girl (born 13.12.05) and Rat_Boy (born 14.05.09). Co-inhabiting our nest are 2 rather large fury 4 legged rats, Boxer_Dog and Black_Dog. We run a business from the nest with Concrete_Man doing the manly physical work while I stay at home and do the 'other' stuff. This means we are often busy, often stressed and often very tired...but then again who isn't! Anyway that's enough for now. As time goes by you will learn a bit more about the family that is "MummaRat's Nest"

Going Pink for October




Ok so I have changed the look of the blog for Ocotber in support of Breast Cancer month and to help raise awarness.  To check out who else has gone pink check out Pink For October.




And I also plan to take part in the Virtual Girls In being hosted by Silver Moon Dragon @ Dragons Musings.

If anyone else would like to take part, feel free to drop by and check out how it all works.  So now I have to get out my pink foods (or my pink food die) and get cooking all things pink.  Rat_girl will love it!!!

You can also help out by making donations towards this event.

I'll get some pink food happening soon I promise, problem is I'm not very creative so it will probably be something simple like pink cupcakes, pink jelly cakes....or I wonder what Concrete_man would think of pink mashed potatoes for dinner tonight.....hmmmmmmmm

    Pink mashed potatoes? I love it!
    I think we'll have to have them later this week! DP wouldn't be impressed, but as he eats on his own after the kids have gone to bed, I can leave some white for him. Now to just make sure I don't arrange them for a night he gets home early!

    Ok so I wasn't game to do the pink mashed potatoes...but I will definately give it a go, or atleast for the little_rat!
